After a huge shopping in Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I actually returned some of the items I bought. Not only that I want to save money but also I don't wanna cumulate too many things. The item I returned today was a huge computer workstation. (Luckily I picked up a nice desk in our basement!!) Unfortunately, it weights about 23kgs!!!!
I thought though it was heavy, after these days of training, I could get it returned by myself. Afterall, the bus stops are quite close both to my place and the store. It still turned out to be too heavy for me. Fortunately a nice black lady just helped me carry it to the bus stop. It really saved me a lot of strength. She said, "It's so heavy! Even for two people!" Ha....I guess I'm really a superwoman.
I always say that the New Yorkers are cold but actually some strangers are just even more helpful than your friends. Or maybe I'm just not used to asking for help.
The funny thing is as we were moving the workstation. A black guy saw us and said, "That's why you need a boyfriend." I can't help laughing. People here are just more humorous than I expected.
I rewarded myself with a nice lunch in Indian Cafe, a restaurant recommended by my Indian roomate and classmate. It was really good and I love it!!!!! Maybe next time I will wait and take a picture first.
